No Trellis and still a Ducati: Can this happen?

Ducati, Trellis, so synonymous. But, Ducati, a pioneer in motorcycle technology, is planning on dumping the gorgeous Trellis frames and going for the monocoques. We all know how the frames helped in giving Ducati the look the brand stands for.

With the MotoGP, Ducati has displayed the monocoques implemented Dukers. MotoGP has been the most loved and appreciated show for road bikes, and Ducati could not have found any better way to showcase their new chassis. Ducati might be planning on replacing the trellis for the roadsters as well.

The advantage that this monocoques chassis brings against the Trellis is that they are less in weight, better weight distribution, better engine cooling, slicker aerodynamics, and more.

Though this change might not be well accepted by the old followers of Ducati, it is a sign of change and should be welcomed.
